Module 1: AI Foundations & Understanding Models
By the end of this module, you will be able to define AI in plain language, understand how AI systems learn from data, distinguish between different model types, explain how Large Language Models work at a high level, and recognise the genuine limitations of modern AI tools.How to use this module: Work through each section at your own pace, complete the practical exercise before moving on, and check your understanding with the quiz at the end.

Module 2: Prompting Fundamentals
By the end of this module, you will be able to define what a prompt is, build effective prompts using a five-ingredient framework, apply role prompting to unlock expert-level outputs, control the format and length of any response, and iterate confidently when a prompt does not produce the result you need.How to use this module Work through each section, complete the exercise at the end before moving on, and test yourself with the quiz. Your prompt skills build cumulatively each lesson assumes you have read the ones before it.

Module 3: Core Prompt Engineering Techniques
By the end of this module, you will be able to apply chain-of-thought prompting to improve AI reasoning, use few-shot examples to guide output style precisely, build prompt chains for complex multi-step tasks, use negative prompting to eliminate unwanted defaults, and set constraints and guardrails for consistent, safe, on-brand results.How to use this module These five techniques build on the fundamentals from Module 2. Each lesson introduces one technique, shows it in action with real examples, and then gives you an exercise to practise it immediately. Work through them in order, the techniques compound.

Module 4: Advanced Prompting & Real World Use.
By the end of this module, you will be able to use AI confidently for writing and content creation, research and information synthesis, business tasks and productivity, and personal learning and development. You will also design a personal AI workflow, a system you will actually use every day after this course.How to use this module This module is where all of the techniques from Modules 2 and 3 get applied to real tasks. Each lesson focuses on one domain of use. As you read, keep a running list of prompts you want to try and use the exercises to test them immediately.

Module 5: Projects, Ethics & Certification
This final module brings everything together. You will complete a real-world capstone project, develop a grounded understanding of AI ethics, privacy, and the legal landscape, look ahead at where AI is heading, and take the final assessment to earn your AI Literacy & Prompt Engineering certification.
